Lydia Owens is a photographer with a passion for nature and conservation. She first discovered her interest in photography in high school and decided to pursue it as a career, focusing on capturing the small, often overlooked details of the world around her. She graduated from Maiden High School in 2023 and Catawba Valley Community College in 2025 with a degree in Photographic Technology. In college, Lydia was a two-time state-level SkillsUSA winner and earned certifications in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. She was happily welcomed to the TPS family following her college graduation. Lydia’s favorite work is nature and wildlife photography. She believes photography helps people better appreciate and protect the world around them. Outside of photography, she enjoys antiquing, collecting ephemera, spending time in nature, and eating anything sweet. She’s a night owl whose goal is to travel all 50 states—and she’ll always choose fall over any other season.
